@sgopal2 I’d appreciate your input! Thanks.

What does the Naviance scattergrams at your HS look like? The GPA may be the only thing holding you back

yikes

@sgopal2 I am 0.4 points below average for my HS on the Naviance Scattergrams.

Do the scattergrams show any acceptances for Duke within the last 5 years for your GPA/Score combo? If you are below the average, you will face an uphill battle in ED. They tend to take the top students in the ED round to lock them in. These are the students in the “upper/outer” quadrant of the scattergram.

You do have great scores and grades however. I don’t see anything in your application that will make them jump out of their seat. My guess is that you will probably be deferred into RD. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you though, and hoping that I’m wrong.

Best of luck

Ok, that makes sense. I am outer but slightly lower. I hope that doesn’t ruin my chances for ED, but thank you for your feedback.

It definitely doesn’t ruin your chances. Overall you are a solid student. Best of luck

Thank you. I have my interview today - looking forward to it!

Good luck, let us know how it goes. Relax, the alumni won’t bite, and its meant to be low stress.

Good luck. Take the interview seriously but try to be conversational. Show your personality.

Thanks guys. I love conversation, so the interview wasn’t stressful and I think it went really well. Knocking on wood though.
