Hey guys
Do you know when does Duke release results for Early Decision?
I know that the website tells it is posted by December 15th, but I was curious about the exact date they release the results and also the date they released it last year.
I am so anxious… 8-X 8-X

@FLWrestler123 I dunno if they do LL for ED candidates. I searched college confidential and the only talk of LL is in February and March (in past years). Do you know if they do it for ED? @Gausssss it’s hard not to be.

I don’t believe they do Likely letters for early decision, since the purpose of them is to draw you to attend their school but ED is already binding so it’d be redundant. Early action and regular decision make sense for LL’s though

Unfortunately, Duke probably won’t send any likely letters to ED applicants. Everyone has already committed to attend, so there’s no incentive for the college to give someone advanced notice that they’ve been accepted. In the RD round, top colleges recognize that superstar applicants will be accepted at multiple competing schools, so they try to gain an edge in the process by offering that student their decision early (you would probably think more highly of a school that gives you VIP status, right?). But colleges don’t consider their competition like that during the ED round…because there isn’t any. I hope that made sense. It’s still possible that they might send a few letters out of pure generosity, but I’ve never heard of anything like that before. Good luck to everyone else waiting!
