Duke, Emory, JHU, anywhere else you think would be good

White female from Georgia (yeah like 49th place in the nation's public schools, ugh)

GPA 4.0 (I don't know the weighted, but I've never gotten a B)

Class rank - 2nd out of 400ish

APs
Euro History - 4
Calculus AB - 5
US History - 5
Language and Composition - 5
3D Design (art) - score isn't available yet

Next year's AP schedule includes - Literature, Statistics, Physics, and Macro

SATs (hmph) - 690 CR, 710 Math, 720 W
SAT IIs - 770 W, will take biology and math IIC in October - studying hard, good scores expected

ECs are a little sketchy
9th and 10th was all sports, not particularly good at anything
11th was all clubs (key, interact, NHS, BETA, student council, NAHS)
12th will be same clubs plus I'm co-founding a gay-staight alliance at our school

My main ec/hobby doesn't even show up on the list. I will have taken 9 art classes from my school by the time I graduate. I devote hours every day to art projects. You get the idea. I am also an avid creative writer, but I haven't had anything published yet or anything. I don't want to pursue these for a career though; I want to go to medical school.

I'm worried cause I only took Spanish II and Spanish III in high school. That's only 2 years and my school offers through Spanish V and AP. I just wanted to take art classes for electives and I think its going to hurt me.

I should also mention that if I don't get into one of the above mentioned schools, I'm going to the University of Georgia... end of story. hmph.

I forgot to mention I did a summer programs - National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine last summer and the Duke TIP one on creative writing this summer

Although UGA's honor program is great, I think you are too well suited for UGA. I live in Gainesville and my brother goes to UGA. With a 1400 SAT and 4 APs that will most likely be transferred as college credit, a strong interest in a field: art, and a leadership initiative like creating a new club at your school, you have several hooks to help you stand out. If you're interested in medicine, Duke, Emory, and John hopkins are great choices. Others you might consider are: Carolina (Chapel Hill), Univ. of Washington, Harvard, and Penn. I think that Univ. of N. Carolina-Chapel Hill would be amazing, U.S. News ranks them #2 of medical colleges. Emory also has advantages of getting the HOPE grant. You won't get a full ride, but at least some help.

This is weak guys...

emory seems like a good match for you. case western also has a good med program to consider

I would work on the CR and math SAT scores to make Duke more of a possibility and to secure Emory,
