First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong forum. There's a lot of forums here and I undoubtedly picked the wrong one. So yeah, sorry.

Okay, so here's my situation. I've had a severe confidence issue. I've always been in the gifted/whatever groups for "smart" kids, but I was always below the other people in those groups. So I've never felt truly intelligent. I've always thought I was just slightly better than the unwashed masses.

I graduated from high school last summer with 24 dual enrollment hours, so basically I'm going to be a college junior going into next fall at the University of Virginia's College at Wise.

What I've found is that I'm a lot better in college, in classes that I actually care about. My stats have been impressive, for me, so far. I've started to look upward at maybe trying to go to a top 20 MBA program. It probably wouldn't be top 10, but a solid 10-20 definitely feels to be on my radar now. So really, I just want you guys who seem to know more about the admissions process to tell me about my chances.

Assume I graduate from UVA-Wise (which is linked to the University of Virginia, a prestigious college in itself, but I don't know if it's quite THAT good,) with around a 3.5 to 3.6 GPA, a decent amount of activities (not really in leadership positions, but active,) and at least ONE prestigious internship with a United States Senator.

Now, I know GMATs are a big indicator. I don't know how I would do on those, because I'm pretty far away from taking them. But as a rule, I usually do decent on standardized tests. Also assume I find some sort of applicable experience in business. It WOULD NOT be prestigious at all, but it would be relative to business and management.

Given all that, do you think I have a good chance at Fuqua? They list their average GPA as like a 3.38, which seems really low for a business school of such stature. Is there something I'm missing here? I would think that with a GPA above their average and decent everything else, I could bank on Fuqua as a pretty sure bet, but I'm just not feeling confident about it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Daniel
