yeah, banking is not for everyone, hope i don't feel the same after my internship

Well better to find out sooner than later. :) My moment of clarity came while scrolling through a monstrously huge mutual fund database to put together a client presentation. Two questions entered my head. Could I do this for the rest of my life? Yes. Do I want to? God no. :p

I moved on to a research assistantship at Fuqua, which turns out to be a job I actually enjoy (gasp!). So right now the plan is to get a PhD in Strategy and become a professor/consultant, like my father. Of course I won't make as much money as I would as a i-banker, but eh, I could always just marry one instead. Stern or Duke-educated would be fine - I won't discriminate. ;)

In any case, good luck with your internship, I hope it goes well.

Okay, this I must object to. Do you really want a New York husband? Go with a Southern boy. :D

(If I'm seriously mistaken about your gender, my apologies!)

But a New York boy would probably be more forgiving when it comes to my ahem lack of culinary skill. How many Southern boys want a girl who can't cook? :p

Then again, I'll settle for anything to avoid the arranged marriage my mother threatens me with if I'm not engaged by 23. Even a Brit Lit major.*

*No offense to those, of course. I just have a feeling I'd frustrate them with my sheer inability to ever find a deeper meaning in literature. ;)

Oh, but in the South, eating out is so much more affordable!

And my mother seems to find arranged marriage a fairly attractive option, too...

so general consensus.... between the 2 schools just find oe thstss the better fit?

Absolutely. Choose the place that you will be the happiest at - good luck with your decision - I take you have less than 24 hours.

haha ya i think i have settled on duke..... although stern is a great business school and would prob. provide more opportunities.... I want to experience the college campus experience and know i will only have one opportunity in my life time to do that... the fact that duke does get recruited from (even if not as much as stern) i still will have an opportunity to work in the city in the summers, or after graduation....

Congratulations, welcome to the Duke University - the best days of your life are just around the corner.

Yes, congrats. :) We'll see ya on campus come August.

It'll take careful planning to fit an econ minor and MMS in (only two courses can count towards both) but either one will be a great boost when it's time to job-hunt.

It shouldn't be too bad if I already have credit for 7 courses, should it? (I'll be in Pratt)
