Those are published in 2008 USN ranking (though actually ranked in 2006/2007). NU also has had great addition just like Duke has. It's common to see students only see how much their own schools are improving while unconciously assuming others are just sitting their a** doing nothing ("stronger" implies comparison to others).

Regardless, my main point was to counter outrageously false claim. If I didn't, I doubt one of you from Duke would. :p

Wow, just trying to give an informed opinion of what I know from my own school to perspective students. Like I said, I can't speak for Northwestern, and that is why I didn't. In my case, stronger implies a holistic, arbitrary comparison to when I first got to Duke. (The Gross chemistry building was to put in nicely a little outdated)

The only thing ginormous about the Duke campus is the Duke Forest, which is quite, cool, in my older, parental, opinion!

Disclaimer, sort of: I was quite sceptical about Duke for many reasons, including the whole East campus for Freshman business. None of my concerns has turned out to be warranted.

Arti, you have two fantastic options, as you know. I live on the other side of Lake Michigan from Evanston and have spent some great times there. Now I am in love with Duke and what it is doing for our son. After you have visited both, I hope you will know which is right for you.

I think you were taking what I said too seriously. That kind of bias is found in just about every board and I was just pointing out the obvious. Duke forum is not any worse than others.
