I’ve heard some talk about how if Duke was one of the institutions requesting documents on IDOC when you applied for financial aid, this could potentially be a good sign for admissions… not sure if there’s any truth behind this.
Does anyone else have Duke listed as one of the institutions requesting documents on IDOC or did anyone not get this?
@dygibbs on reddit, a member said that some Duke applicants submitted IDOC documents to all required schools, including Duke, but did not have Duke listed as an institution requesting documents… some schools request additional documents as a follow up. i could be remembering wrong but i think duke asked for a non-tax filer statement or something and possibly additional tax documents from me
not sure if there’s any truth behind this, just relaying the message
I applied ED and Duke requested IDOC documents and I got deferred. An IDOC request from the Duke’s FINANCIAL AID office has absolutely no correlation with a decision from their ADMISSIONS office.
@heretoparty98, I had IDOC request and additional doc request by Duke, but did not receive a likely letter for Latino weekend. Not sure if some or all Latino admits receive invites for LSRW (please let me know if anyone has info on this).
@reppinthe803, But a girl on CC, whom was deferred ED at Duke, did receive an IDOC request last November 2017; she thought she would be rejected for sure RD, but just a few days ago she was accepted via a Likely.
