Did you call admissions? How do you know they haven't been received? Maybe your checklist just hasn't been updated yet. I wouldn't worry about it. It takes a long time for information to get from the mailbox to the admissions file.

My D's school stuff was sent late October and just appeared on her checklist yesterday. I believe it was related to a combination of when the supplement was submitted and when she registered for her ?My duke account so they could put stuff in.

the same thing is going on with me. I'm planning on calling them when they open, but it's not that big of a deal. I was told that admissions offices lose things all the time, so they usually understand if this happens (and it's not like essays or anything where you are personally responsible for mailing them)

when do they reopen?

Tomorrow morning. Try to call after 8EST but people will be in the office earlier.

thank you so much for answering. maybe I will wait a little longer and then call them then..

ditsy dont worry i had the exact same predicament as you. my transcript, teacher and counselor recs both had that red dot on them in mid december when i had sent them in in october. but i came back from vacation yesterday, pulled up the application checklist and all things were checkmarked. just hang in there, what the guy told me is that they have to match up all the mail-in stuff with ur online app.

How do you get an account? Was this something I was supposed to do when I submitted the common app on Sunday?

You can register for an account after you receive a confirmation letter in the mail from Duke Admissions. That letter will have a code that you'll need to enter at the time of registration on the admissions website which confirms that you are really who you say you are.

At least, that was how it was done two years ago and I believe last year.

hmm Duke probably received my recommendations about a week before they received my CommonApp/Supplement... am I in trouble?

I wouldn't say you are in trouble. I'm assuming the CommonApp and supplement were submitted electronically. On the other hand, the admissions office is probably swimming in letters, packages, parcels, papers, etc etc at the moment. Since physical communication needs to be sorted and entered by hand (usually, unless you are USPS) it'll take a bit for them to be entered into the system.
