Many schools treat domestic students differently from international ones. They may be need blind for domestic students (instate as well as OOS) but could be need aware of international students, meaning they may look at ability to pay for college without any support. Some international students may get merit grant, but hardly get any need based aid, though there could be exceptions.
I am not sure if Duke is need aware for international students.
I know this was discussed earlier but I still have those two documents “missing” from my financial aid portal - I don’t have to do anything about that right? Because it was a result of Duke requesting those documents later than other schools from IDOC?
My DS had it missing for a long time. He contacted Duke, because IDOC stated it was up to date. Duke said to give it 3-5 days, nothing changed, so he emailed them again and they had to fix something on their end. May be worth reaching out to Duke FA. Rather safe than sorry
I really hope so. This waiting is brutal and causes a lot of unnecessary anxiety for the applicants. I wish you all luck and hope you get into the college that makes you happy.
duke2025’s ig story featured someone saying they had emailed admissions asking when decisions are out and that they had said early april. they speculate ivy day but who knows
Can you please upload a screenshot of this email message for our reference?
“My son was deferred from ED. At the time, they had not asked for any updates for financials. But this week, he received a request for more specific financial information. This was not an automated message. While it said, this is no indication of admission, it requested a prompt reply. What do you think this means?”
