Duke University Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

do you guys still have your financial checklist?

Ohhh makes sense. Are they evaluative like Harvard or information like Cornell?

Nope. I don’t think that means anything though.

Rice accepted 20% no scores, 80% with scores.

I have the financial checklist

I have gotten 23 decisions back out of 26. All this source code and financial aid checklist stuff has been so misleading but tempting.

my interviewer said he thinks there’s three scenarios: one where an applicant is extremely qualified and the interview doesn’t rly matter, and the opposite situation, where an applicant is underqualified, and the interview doesn’t rly matter either. but in a situation where ao’s are on the fence, one of the last things they may read is the interview report to make a final decision. so i guess it’s mostly informative, but may become evaluative if necessary!

No, im just genuinely confused about my financial aid, like i still have mine with checkmarks, but I know im still missing some documents

BU - yes DS did

Thank you! I knew I wasn’t losing it. I wonder how many more apps they would’ve had for all the people that didn’t have scores, but at the same time, everyone had to submit a score so that probably made a difference for those who didn’t submit scores to other schools.

Also to others, our app was submitted around the deadline but we had read somewhere about if you don’t do an interview you should send in a 3rd LOR so even though he wasn’t asked for an interview since he was past that priority deadline, he later submitted the additional letter. He also had wanted to submit some updates to his application in early March however, Duke had already turned off their update app info so I think they were done really early with their app process.

Good luck to everyone! I would be shocked if we had an acceptance. Basically no one gets in from our school so not expecting anything on our end.

I do

My daughter was accepted to Georgetown a few years back. One positive I will note about all of the “hoops” you need to jump through (submit all scores, 3 subject tests, a separate application):

Those kids are a highly self-selecting bunch. I think it makes it easier for the AOs because they don’t get a ton of kids who apply last minute on a whim. The application process alone is a pretty big demonstration of interest.

wait so who has their fin aid checklist still up? and who doesn’t? heard that, at least for ed, that was an indicator

I have my financial aid checklist up, but I went test optional and without an interview, so i know I’m not getting in, so the financial aid thing is not an indicator

it comes out in 15 mins or so right?

Yes

9 minutes left you guys :sob:
