Which one is the better institution for pre medicine and biological sciences???

They are all just fine but it’s hard to imagine the same kid being happy at all three. While Dartmouth and Duke have similar student bodies and similar social scenes, Chicago is their polar opposite.

If you’re interested PURELY in the pre-med path, then I’d suggest Duke.

If you’re kind of interested in a lot of things, then Chicago.

If you’re looking for a smaller place and are in between the extremes I stated above, then go Dartmouth.

Not to say that, at least to some extent, there is no middle ground between the places, that’s just how I’d break it down.

Definitely not Chicago for premed. I believe that it is classified as “antipreprofessional” because of the gpa deflation :)

Duke fo sho

Yea also i heard that the science classes taught on UChicago have different curriculum’s (somewhat) than other pre med track programs which is not helpful for the MCATs.

I had this exact same decision to make last year and I was also leaning toward biological sciences and/or premed. I think we’re the same person…
I ended up choosing Dartmouth (having never visited any of the campuses as I’m an international student) and I’ve never been happier with my choice. I visited friends at UChicago over thxgiving break and could never have seen myself being as happy as I am here. As for Duke, I don’t really have a personal opinion because I’ve never visited, though I’d say Duke is somewhat similar to Dartmouth, though by far worse.
