Hello!
I was accepted to Duke and Stanford, and now I have to decide between the two. I’m just curious about other people’s opinions about each school.
Thanks!

Both good schools. But would depend on your major and fit.
Are costs equal ? What is your intended major ? Do you have a strong preference for the color blue or red ?
These were my son’s top 2 choices as well and congrats for getting into both it’s quite an accomplishment. As state above
it depends on your intended major and preference for study. Secondly, weather can play a big part, hard to beat the weather in Palo Alto. My son chose Duke, either way you are lucky to have this choice. Best of Luck!
I really liked Stanford (for grad school), and it is more famous. However, Duke is also a very, very good university, and you definitely would not go wrong to go to Duke if you would prefer it.
I would be inclined to suggest that you compare costs, and go where you want to go and/or where you can afford to go.
IMHO you should definitely not feel compelled to go to the higher ranked school. I went to the highest ranked school that I got into for undergrad, and I still feel years later that it was a mistake – the other school where I could have gone instead is very good (close to Duke level) and would for me at the time have been a better fit.
How exactly did your son “choose” Duke over Stanford if he never received acceptance from Stanford?

Stanford is the hottest school in the country but I would make a decision based on cost and “fit”. If you’re looking to go into entrepreneurship, I’d lean towards Stanford. If you’re looking for a more traditional career (law, medicine, banking), the difference is minimal.
