Duke's Weather?

<p>Agreed, that amount of snow is a once-every-few-years thing, but a small amount of snow that covers all exposed surfaces seems to happen at least once a year, though waking up later than 11am may mean only catching the wet end of the snow.</p>

<p>If you're desperate for snow you can make the 4 hour drive out to the Appalachians in the west of the state in the winter, it snows more often out there. Heck, you should head out there in any season, it's beautiful in the summer when I go to Pisgah with PWILD, it was beautiful in the fall when I went to the same general area for fall break to see the leaves change color, its beautiful in the spring and covered in (some, melting) ice when I go with PWILD. North Carolina has quite a few beautiful natural areas worth visiting.</p>
