Dunno if this is the right forum, but..

After a few days of thinking and life assessment, I've decided I need to further my education. I have been out of highschool for a year but due to some rather poor but not regretted decisions, I need to do online school. I am 19 years old, a father, and currently unemployed. I'm looking for jobs day in and day out, as well as looking into various colleges and trying to get things together for my son. I am not struggling yet, I was employed for a year or so but my funds are dwindling as my situation.

I'm just curious, most online schools I've seen (I really can only afford community colleges..) offer AA degrees, associates in applied sciences. Will these degrees benefit me at ALL? I'm interested in a variety of things, from paralegal to computers, but I'm not exactly sure what to pursue to ensure a decent financial foothold. I will hopefully pursue my bachelors, but at the moment, I'm looking to coast on an AA degree. I'm interested in computers, paralegal, business and management yet I don't know what I'm looking for.

Money is also situation. I'm eligible for the full pell grant of 5500 dollars, so theoretically, schools out here (the communities I'm looking at) charge 71 per credit, 61 credits to achieve my degree, I'd be able to get my degree without paying nearly anything. Can somebody advise me on the benefits of an AA degree, what fields to pursue, and maybe some accredited online schools I can look into? Thank you.
