I wasn’t accepted into the schools of arts and sciences but was accepted Into the Gussin Spiritan Division. I’ve never even heard of it. What exactly is it? Is it prestigious? I was well above duquesne average gpa and sat scores (which is why I’m confused I wasn’t accepted into the school or arts and sciences…) From the brochure it doesn’t sound too appealing. You start In the middle of the summer and end In August, and you can’t leave campus unless you are told to. And there is a 10:00 curfew…What exactly is this program? Is it rigorous? Or a prep program?
Ig you google it you will get answers. If you want more information contact the school
I just took a look at the website, and it reminds me of what Penn State does with Summer Session – give students a chance to get two classes out of the way so that they can take an easier load first year. It might be rigorous, depending on your academic background. The point seems to be to ensure that students in the program are really ready for college level work.
You mention your GPA and SAT being well above average for Duquesne. Maybe something else in your background or high school preparation makes Admissions consider you a good candidate for this?
