E. Mich transfer to Univ. of Michigan?

I applied to the University of Michigan with a 3.6 high school GPA, strong recommendations, 28 ACT. I got deferred and then waitlisted and didn't make the final cut.

I started fall semester at the Honors College at Eastern Michigan University. I had 6 AP credits, took 9 credits first semester, 12 credits this semester, and am taking 6 credits this summer and 15 next semester. I have an overall total of 8 honors credits. I've taken credits in French, English, Philosophy, Astronomy, and Art History. I did withdraw from one class, so I have one W on my transcript. (That would bring me to 45 credits, all transferable, when I apply - you can't have more than 60 to apply to UMich LSA.)

I have a 3.76 GPA at Eastern as of right now - if I get an A in my summer courses it will be a 3.81. I also have hours of community service, a job, and am part of a docent training program at the University of Michigan Museum of Archaeology - I'm a potential Archaeology & Classical Studies major. I won Summa cum Laude on all my National Latin Exams, I studied Greek with a private tutor over the summer, and I am starting a chapter of the National Junior Classical League at my high school. I'll also have letters of recommendations from 2 college professors in my potential major fields, 2 letters from Michigan alumni, and one from my academic adviser from Eastern who now works at Michigan.

I also plan on writing some really, really good essays about how UM is the only place I've ever wanted to go, and that they have everything I need and I've proved my academic merit multiple times over.

Michigan is my dream school. I plan to be a Classics major - they don't even HAVE a Classical Studies major at Eastern. My grades were okay to begin with but have only gotten better; I've taken classes in my major; my extracurriculars show leadership and a pursual of the subjects I plan on studying.

Do you think I have a chance of transferring to Michigan for Fall 2011? Please be honest.
