I'm currently in EECS and I'm having thoughts about transferring into MSE (not interested in the joint major). Thus, I'm thinking about taking the following classes next semester:

Engineering 45
Chem 1A
Physics 7C
R&C Part B

I want to take this class as soon as possible and do well in it! However, I'm afraid that I will be at a huge disadvantage in E45 due to the fact it's a highly chem-based class and I'll only be taking 1A concurrently (I did an honors chem class in high school so I do know the basics). I know that 7A is the only official prerequisite (which I took last semester and am taking 7B this semester), but I'm afraid that the other students in the class will have better chem knowledge and I wouldn't be able to compete. I am definitely willing to put the work into learning anything that I need to (realistically), and if it's pretty easy to catch up on the chem stuff, I'll be more than willing to take the class. However, if I'm not going to be able to compete with other kids in my class without reading the entire chem textbook first, I really need to reconsider a few things. Can anybody who has taken the class assist me in telling me who important Chem 1A is to taking this class?
