EA Acceptance Revoking

Hey guys..

I dunno.. this whole thread kind of freaks me out. As the person who originally posted this thread, I find it kind of disturbing to be labelled as a "slacker" and somebody undeserving to go to Harvard. This may well be true, but who are you to say, "What?! How can you ask a question like that? I immediately know that you are a lazy person, undeserving of what you got. Now get out the way so someone deferred can go, you lazy butt."
I think your views of Harvard students might be slightly skewed.. Hey yeah, the admits I know have a love of learning, and they love to achieve. I love to achieve, and I love learning, but see, I have like ten million books I've been wanting to read for my own intellectual pleasure that won't get my GPA up. Just because I don't plan to have a 4.5 GPA doesn't mean that I'm not using my time well. It doesn't mean I'm going to be vegetating in front of a TV or transforming into a person less worthy of the acceptance.
Plus, even the Harvard students that I've been talking to and the other Harvard admits are taking a much more relaxed approach to this whole scenario. I think it would be a mistake for admissions officers to foster even more of a cut-throat policy, awarding only those driven to the point that they're coughing up blood and probably going to die quite a few years earlier due to sleep deprivation.
Anyway, whatever. Just.. uh.. calm down. Maybe be a little bit less condemning?

haha! i'm going to have to agree with you on this one, AChi00
