EA Admissions vs RD Admissions

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving...and that everything is going as smoothly as can be expected during this (holiday and college) frenzied time of year! I'm hoping that some of you can take a moment out from your day to help me out.

Recently, a friend of mine was telling me that for those students whose stats fall in the middle 50th percentile, there is only a 3 percentage point difference between the percentage of students admitted EA and those admitted RD. Is that true?? Some months ago, I recall coming across a website that gave EA and RD admit statistics for all colleges and universities, but I've forgotten the URL. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

Check out the book The Early Admissions Game re: research on benefits of applying early to many different universities. It definitely helps to apply early including if you are in the midrange.

Thanks, maryc. My son applied and was accepted EA last August for fall 2006. But someone said that in the mid-range it made little difference. I really don't believe that, but I wanted to look on that website to see the percentages. I'll also check out the book you mentioned too. Thanks!
