<p>A few days ago and -- grrrr....wish i could remember the thread -- but a person at CC stated that "the secret to getting into Georgetown is applying RD rather than EA"...is there anyone who could expand and agree/disagree with that?</p>
<p>Not necessarily. My son, who is currently a freshman at Georgetown, applied EA and was deferred. He was accepted RD.</p>

<p>Some of Georgetown’s schools do have a lower acceptance rate EA than RD, but the difference is in the .03% area. The difference is pretty irrelevant, but it does mean there is no noticeable advantage/disadvantage to applying EA there</p>
