My D got into every other school she applied to, Fairfield, Loyola, Sacred Heart, SIENA, Scranton, Susquehanna and Catholic. It is between Loyola and Fairfield.
She chose not to submit her SAT scores. She has a 3.4 GPA, 3 sport athlete all 4 years, is a Peer Leader with lots of community service.

Well she should be very proud that’s am impressive list of schools! Do those schools have fashion or will she do a different major? I wasn’t aware they had fashion.

Thank you, no they don’t have fashion merchandising, but I think she is better off choosing a general business program. After speaking to others it is clear that she does not want to work in day to day retail, which is where she she would probably have to start.
Something I failed to mention earlier my nephew was accepted with a less impressive GPA and Ec’s. I feel the right college always finds you. After having 2 sons go through Dickinson and Gettysburg, I believe it.

Sometimes I think it’s one thing they are looking for that makes a decision between one person or another. It could be something so small that one person possesses even though there gpa may not be anywhere near where it should. However, I agree with you I do believe everything happens for a reason in this college search world. It is overwhelming at times and I believe you ultimately end up where you should. My daughter loves design and believes she can make it in that world. While I wish she was studying something else more concrete this is her time and her life. I can only support her and hope she is successful. I’m sure wherever your daughter goes she will find success. Best of luck!

@Jldelduca77 what did your daughter to her merchandising project on? if you don’t mind me asking

@jldelduca77 - my daughter’s letter also said if she maintained a 2.8 at another college she could then apply next year. does that mean she would automatically be admitted?
