GPA according to UGA scale: 3.1
AP's: 7 (jr: lang-4, comp sci-2, stat-4; sr: micro/macro, calc ab, psych, bio)
SAT: 2120 770m 630cr 720w
Is the SAT good enough to make up for the low GPA?

The interesting thing about my GPA is that I did not have trouble in the "hard" courses during my junior year. During freshman year I had no motivation for school and ended up with a 2.5 GPA. From then on I substantially increased my interest in school, and each progressive semester my GPA went up. On a 100 pt scale it went from: fresh: 84, jr: 90, sr: 92

Hopefully UGA will notice the upward trend in EA?

I also failed american gov't because the teacher was my 8th grade football coach that literally abused me during practice because of my race (asian), and at one point I got fed up and quit. In that class he constantly said that he "lost my work" so I ended up with a 59 and had to go to summer school. Sophomore year I took physical science because I did absolutely awful in biology (c's both semester) but realized late that year that I was much smarter to be a junior in a sophomore class (chemistry, the next class after physical science). I then urged my teacher to put me into physics, which I did fine in, and took chemistry online during the summer. I took honors math through junior year and ap calc ab sr year. Same with lang, honors for fresh/soph, ap lang for jr, regular lit for sr year.

Are my chances at all realistic? My poor grades were all in freshman year, which *****ed up the following years because it was hard to recover. I did fine in h precal, stat, ap lang, etc., so will they overlook my poor grades in the easier classes if they notice that I am perfectly capable in the harder, AP classes?

My questions apply for RD also.
