@minahmalikk all decisions are supposed to be by mail. since there’s no mail on Sunday we obviously can’t hear today so some people heard yesterday and others will hear tomorrow or the next day. some people who have already received their letters got an email from alumni chairs congratulating them bc Georgetown must have notified the chairs that the students had received an acceptance letter. Don’t assume anything until you receive your letter!

Yes definitely do not assume anything if you haven’t gotten an email. I received my acceptance letter yesterday however haven’t gotten any emails from Georgetown Admissions or from any alumni. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!

P.S. Acceptance letters also come in small envelopes.

It’s entirely possible – probable, actually – that, as @halflokum said, the congratulatory email is specific to the NJ area rep. Both @malaise and I are from NJ.

Hey guys I’m so anxious.
I’m an international student, I should be getting an email by now but have not received it yet. Tifaxx (uder on previous posts) said she got hers through email and was accepted already and she’s an intl too. I’m just wondering why the difference in time in receiving an email… I think I’m going to be rejected on Monday in dc which will be my Monday night which will be right before my Calculus exam on Tuesday which will crush me… I’m dying here.

I check this blog every half an hour seeing how many more people have been accepted to SFS (where I applied) because I haven’t gotten my letter yet… Yeah, I think we’re all going nuts. But it’s nice to know I’m not alone

I haven’t seen a single person get into NHS on this thread (where I applied). I can relate to the craziness.

We’re all mad here. Good luck you all! I hope I get my letter tomorrow…

I got deferred. From southern public school, only person at my school that applied. I have a 34 on the ACT, 2140 super scored SAT (all over 700), 2100 in one sitting. 710- math 2, 680- m. bio, and 660- English lit (this one is bad I know).
I’m student body president and involved in many clubs at school. Varsity quiz bowl. I compete in ski racing in the NC mountains. Service work with the local hospital and service work in Peru that really helped me decide what I want to do with my career (Public health). Applied to the college as a bio of global health major.
Is it worth retaking the SAT to add to my RD file? Or should I just wait it out until April?

@taylorjacqueline I think you should not retake the SAT you risk doing worse. I think it would be better if you got involved in something having to do with bio of global health so that Georgetown can see you are truly interested in that and let them know it!

@NerdyandNervous I feel ya. I applied to NHS too, and I haven’t heard of anyone who get in yet. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing for people like me who are still waiting on letters.

I am so anxious to get my letter! anyone from florida get one yet??

@hcobra No, I live in south Florida and I have yet to receive a letter my self

Received not one but two deferral letters from Georgetown in the mail yesterday. Must have been a computer malfunction, also known as salt in the wound.

I’ve been following this forum and decided to post. Anyone from michigan (Ann Arbor area) receive letters? Still waiting /:

I’m in Green Bay and still waiting

studentathlete1 yes and still waiting too

Thanks guys. Good luck to all :)

Seeing all these incredible people getting deferred is making me so anxious!!

Accepted SFS!! So happy, it was my first choice! :)

When did you guys get your decisions? I’m in California and I still have not received anything. Is that good, bad, or should I just wait till tomorrow for a letter?
