I’m wondering if Dickinson is having some kind of computer problem. It appears that the FAFSA website is down, so maybe there is a server issue, or some other kind of problem. My internet connection has gone out several times today.

Sorry about the delay for you guys. Good luck to everyone.

Well it’s still evening 31st in the U.S right? I will wait patiently. My friend got her EA decision for Clark University delayed for like a month. :(

Okay I am not a pessimist, I am a worrier. It is 6:04 in the morning and the only difference I see on the application portal is that they have added my son’s nickname!

Maybe the 5:00 p.m. information was misunderstood. Either way, we’ll find out eventually. Maybe we will find out today. It is after all Feb. 1st! :)

I just called the admissions office and was told that there had been a “glitch” in getting the letters out. They will not be completed until tomorrow, and the emails with information about how to check decisions online won’t be sent until all the letters have been mailed. No decisions will be given over the phone.

Thank you. That makes sense. College of Wooster did the same thing. They sent out all the letters and then posted it online a week later. They wanted to make sure everyone received the letters first before seeing it online. However, Dickinson is late! :)

Thanks for checking, Mom77381. I bet the glitch is just being overwhelmed with so many EA applications. We can all chill now and wait a couple of days. Not that waiting is easy!

Clark also got delayed. Their website said they do not notify by email, only by snail mail, and letters would arrive before Christmas. I presume they also got buried with more EA apps than expected, because they changed the system at the last minute when they couldn’t get the letters out in time. The kids got emails just before Christmas and letters a week or two later.

Just called admissions. They said they’re sending the letters out either tonight or tomorrow morning and that we’ll receive an email with directions to access our decision online right after they send out letters.
