Awww dang! We’ve been all ready to find out for two days. This will be a hella long weekend!

You signed into your portal and it wasn’t the “application status” page anymore?

there was another box underneath the admission decision notification one that said something about accepting my offer of admission. i don’t remember it exactly cause it’s gone now (they must have seen the glitch) but there was no status update or anything idrk

Yes, I saw that as well, and now its gone.

Look at your portal. Just got the EA decision. Son got in.

The decisions are in! We are in!

Oh men. What I was scared of happened. We just finished the tour and bam, the change of application status : pushed to regular decision. Creative producing is more and more popular. D will have to show her interest in the school one more time. Congratulations to all the acceptances and keep your hope high for the others. We will know end of March.

I was deferred from early decision for film production. It really sucks because I had a really good application and put so much effort into the writing and short film and have decent grades and sat relative to Chapman. Anyways, how common is it to be deferred and then get in with the RD round? Should I expect to be waitlisted or outright rejected with the RD applicants? Going to move on best I can and hope for better results with ED II for NYU.

I try to answer the same questions by reading other threads and I saw that if some were accepted during RD, there were no merit scholarship left. Rejection doesn’t mean that the application was bad. It’s just that there are too many candidates for just a few spots. I think my D should take a gap year and reapply as a freshman the following year, but this is not what she wants for now.

My D was accepted EA for Biology and received the 36k per year scholarship. It’s one of her top choices but she’s planning on waiting to see how a couple others pan out for scholarships before deciding.

How were you notified of your scholarship? Was it in the same letter as the congratulations email or was it a separate notification?
