EA or RD?

I need advice from wise parents here. I am a white girl applying to Caltech with 2300 on SAT and 800 on Math 2, 15 APs by graduation all with 5 and 4 on the exams. UW GPA 3.93, WGPA 4.88. Ranked 4/300 at highly competitive school. My EC is above average and are a mix between research at well-known summer program, sport and speech and debate. Here is the dilemma. I just got 710 on my SAT 2 Biology. I know that applying EA will give me small edge. Should I take a risk and apply with my biology score earlier or take November SAT and apply RD?

Anyone?

Why it is so difficult to get an answer on Caltech forum? Is it because Caltech is so small?

If you feel you can do better in the November SAT, it may help if you apply RD rather than EA.

Don’t understand all the fretting. If applying EA may give you a slight boost then do it. Your stats are what they are. If you get denied after EA then you wouldn’t have made it RD anyway, and if they defer you until RD then you’d be in the same boat as if you waited to apply RD yourself, but would be in the position to submit additional materials (like test scores, awards) as they came up. Of course they could also accept you EA, you never know.

As Vot said, go for it. You have nothing to lose.
