if I apply ED to Duke can I still apply EA to Stanford? I read alittle about it but the rules are kind of confusing…
if the answer is no, what would happen if I applied to both early anyway? I’m not trying to deceive the system or anything I’m just curious
You cannot do both. Stanford has Restrictive Early Action. You could get your acceptance rescinded if you are discovered.
Your college counselor would be in the wrong to submit transcripts and SSR to both schools in the early cycle and I doubt she or he would even consider doing such a thing. But if it somehow happened, you can expect bad consequences–it’s no secret that the Admissions deans at all the top schools travel in the same circles and meet frequently, and if you came up somehow, your name would be mud and fair or not I’d expect them to spread it far and wide.
