EA vs RD

Im trying to decided whether i should apply early action or regular to my top college choice. what are the pros and cons of each and which would increase my chances of acceptance?

Generally..
EA
Pro:
Know earlier
if Deferred your application is looked at, twice
if rejected, you know that you had no chance and you have extra time to move on.
Depending on the school you might be more likely to get in, but usually in EA they just take the best of the best sometimes they cap the amount they'd take, I know MIT caps theirs around 30% of their class...Cornell at 33% (But it's ED).

Con:
You don't get the December test date to improve if needed
They'll speculate more since most grades for senior year aren't on your transcript. Which is good or bad..

Basically if you're ready test score wise go for it...
