Early acceptance and Essence of Emory?

@bernie12
I have not made a final decision yet as it will be mostly driven by the financial aid package offered by each school (still pending). Consequently, I do plan to attend Essence at Emory.

My daughter was put in the waiting list, what are the chances of getting to go she had a competition previous to attend and she did not know if she could cancel until today is it to late?

@lkj2000 Same for me! I took too long deciding between competing at the HOSA state Conference in Texas and going to Essence of Emory that by the time I made my decision, the program was already all filled up. I emailed Mr. Fields (the guy in the email they said to ask if we had any questions) this morning about the chances of getting off the waitlist and he said that there was a “high possibility” and to “just make sure you register”. But I feel like he said that just to be nice or just to get me to sign up… but I just signed up anyways. The money for my HOSA competition was due today so my fingers are crossed that I get taken off the waitlist for Emory since HOSA isn’t even an option anymore

I got placed on the waiting list because I had to take off work. Mr. Fields said he would do his best to get me off the waiting list. It’s my only way to visit my top choice school so I am praying that I get off the list.

To those who successfully registered and to those who got on the waitlist: what day did you guys register for essence of Emory?
@debbien98 @lkj2000

Same here it was for HOSA Competition. She want it to make sure it was going to be ok to cancel, they told her the same that they where going to see if they can help.
