Early acceptance notification date?

I wonder what makes the difference for honors-program admission? If stellar credentials wouldn’t do it, what would? Ending world hunger? Saving a small golden-haired child from being run over by a bus?

We are in-state, so son’s total COA would be about $15K. But that’s too much for our budget, especially considering that DS is not at all sure he really wants to go to Chapel Hill. (Although it’s outstanding in his intended major: History.) If DS does not qualify for merit aid at Chapel Hill, then fuggedaboudit. There are other catfish in the sea.

Yeah, I’m a little upset about the letter. Oh well. Patience is a virtue

My son got into Chapel Hill EA without a likely letter. He is currently a junior at the school. I kept reading about all the likely letters on CC and would check the mail every day. It’s great if you get the letter since you have earlier notification that you made it. However, for those who do not get the letter, you could end up worrying for nothing.

They’re not doing letters this year.

carolinahopeful - just giving the up side of not having likely letters.

Sorry, didn’t catch that last sentence. The people I knew who got in last year didn’t get likely letters, so I could see how it could stress you out, even though I’m already really anxious.

Hey! I just wanted to let you guys know that… I got my acceptance letter via snail mail today. You can see my other posts for my stats if you like.

I live in NC. Supposedly letters were sent out on Tuesday.

I got in :)!!!

I think the letters were sent yesterday. The date on mine is January 18.

wow nice chacha way to necropost on a 2 year old thread lol

Oh. hahaha. I guess i’m just a LEETTLE excited. Plus, I’m new to this thing…
