what was your course load like? and extracurriculars? because what alot of jesuit schools do is they might see your high test scores and your somewhat lower gpa and not see the parallelisms..they might just be questioning your work ethic just make sure that you have a great 7th semester and you will be fine!

I have a decent course load, I'm in 1 AP and 1 Honors class this year. I go to a private Catholic school and do LOADS of community service. I'd say that my EC's are my strongest point besides my ACT score.

Are you going? Where else have you applied?

RE: deferral: I believe that they re-calculate the students' gpa's. So it may not show as your reported 3.0 once that is done.
Probably just want to see how your grades are going in the senior yr before they admit you.
Good luck.

hey Joeshan-

i would say that im about 70% sure I am going to SJU in the fall. I am still waiting on a few other schools- Muhlenberg, Loyola (Baltimore), Fordham and (randomly) Pepperdine in CA. I would say that I am pretty sure that I want to go to SJU... just need to see how Fordham works out- thats really the only one that Im seriously interested in (got deferred from EA there).

What about you? Going for sure?

I am about the same as you...70% waiting on villanova, boston university, college of the holy cross, and american u lol similar to the randomness of pepperdine.. but about the same

My boyfriend's sister goes to BU and loves it!!! shes in australia this semester. I have friends at all of the schools you applied to... all seem very happy... so i think that you'll be safe with whatever you pick. One of my concerns about St. Joes is that there isnt much Christian life on campus- and most of the on campus stuff is strictly catholic. But we'll see. Good luck- let me know how it all goes :)

thanks if we go to St. Joe's though we should definately meet up at orientation it would be a blast
