early action = better chances?

<p>so we all know that applying early decision does give one a significantly better chance; my question is? will early action will increase your chances?</p>

<p>this year a lot of the people at my school applied to stanford early action and obviously that didn't pan out well. but would it have been worse regular decision? please post your thoughts!</p>
