My kid is in!

NU has played the US News game very well …so much so that it is positioning itself to be top player in the field. Nothing wrong with that (in fact all schools should position themselves this way if they want to be competitive!) except that now for you guys, it is getting harder to get into. For those deferred, you may end up getting accepted in RD but this new piece of getting flat out rejected, this is new!

Wow! @rpp216 2310 SAT? And national hispanic scholar…and 4.0 UW…that is actually nuts. And feels very capricious…almost as if they just randomly plucked winners/losers out of a hat…

i swear, one day i want to do some ground breaking research or invest in a new business and reject the colleges that rejected me. dammit

@EloiseS79 I live in England too! Near London though haha. What school do you go to?? I’m sorry about being rejected /:

Maybe this is just a bad dream. I’ll wake up soon hopefully

Maybe they’re really looking at the essay and extracurriculars?

@llegeAcceptanc tell me about it!! They’re being mean this year! One of my best friends also applied but she got deferred. I’m not heartbroken but now I’m so unmotivated… like I can’t even re apply.

Wow! I am surprised by these results. @iheartboston NU has denied EA people in the past but very few.

I’m also from long island, 30 on the ACT, 92 GPA, got straight A’s first quarter, 6 AP’s and a few honors classes, a very rigorous schedule, and tons of extra curricular and got deferred.

And the thing is. my essay was looked at many times by people I know and trust who thoguht it was really good. is itt not now?

pretty sure the only thing wrong now is my ecs? like im done. gosh liek what is this…

Accepted w/ $16k scholarship. 34 ACT and decent-good subject test scores from New York. Sorry to hear about everyone who got deferred – this year sounds like it was incredibly competitive. Does anyone know if they notified us already about Honors? I am still planning on going to Tufts University (got in ED!), but if the financials don’t work out so well I’d love to go to NEU and getting into Honors would be a huge push.

@Nicolezzz13 No, because I had really good extracurriculars and 2 really good essays and an art portfolio… my grades are average and I got rejected

they should have told u about honors when they said u got admitted if it was applicable i think

EFHBVLEIFBWIEFBPIEFHBVPWHIBVPWHIBVPWIBV

@micmatt513 they tell u if u got into the Honors Program in ur acceptance letter

sorry that was needed. im upset

I’d love to see more accepted applicants post their scores

same eloise. this is complete bs. im not even upset anymore.just frustrated. did too many people in my class apply too? was that a factor? pretty sure 80 people applied ea from my school…

i think two or 3 from my school applied…but im in FL
