Early Action/Decision Class of 2019

@polscimezzo so what date would that be?

We also were asked to do a CSS profile so they could determine financial aid. I’m wondering if that is a blanket email everyone gets, or is it for people they know they are going to be accepting? Did everyone get that email? Also, is there any way to do CSS without having to pay college board yet ANOTHER $8 per report?

OH, also, on our tour over the summer, the admin. person told us that EA would get our answer before Christmas break.

I am not sure that the information given last summer would still apply now. We were told by an admin rep that our daughter would be allowed an interview because she is a legacy applicant. They changed that since giving us that information. In previous years , the decisions were emailed for EA applicants ( followed by the big envelope ) on the 15th of December. I am not sure why they would delay the decisions.
We sent in the CSS Profile , but I am not that hopeful that it will help us. We are just as nervous as our daughter is since without a significant aid package, NEU is not happening and it is her first choice …that is presuming she even gets accepted

Does anyone know if Northeastern has an admissions blog? They had one for 2011, do they have one for this year?
<a href=“My Blog”>My Blog;

I’m dying to hear my admissions decision!! Crossing my fingers it’s released early

Me too! I applied ED and I’m constantly checking my email because decisions are supposed to be released within the next 14 days!! I’m hoping for the best but still very nervous, best of luck to you @MegTenney15!

It says that early action will get decision BY december 31. Then do you guys think there is a possibility that we will get a decision before 31?

Hi! I have a question:
I applied EA and have no idea when I’m gonna receive the decision!
But my question is: for my first choice major, I selected Architecture. On the NU Status Check, I’m allowed to “request a major change” which makes me very worried. I’m not really interested in Arch. anymore so I assume I can request a major change, but, is Northeastern only accepting me into the Arch. program? If I (hopefully!) get an offer of acceptance, must I attend the architecture program? or can I decide in January I wanna do business?
thanks.

@phlips I wouldn’t worry about it, everyone who I have talked to at NU has said that it’s very easy to change your major. Plus, when you go in to pick your classes if your accepted I’m sure you could change it then. You are being accepted to NU, not just the architecture program. Hope this helps!

Yep, it’s really easy to change your major after you’ve been accepted but before you start. Don’t stress about it.

Hello guys! I applied EA to Northeastern and ugh i love that place!! can we just take a moment to look at how beautiful the campus is?? <a href=“Campus in the Fall 2014 - Northeastern Global News”>http://www.northeastern.edu/news/2014/11/campus-in-the-fall-2014/</a></p>

Anyways, best of luck to y’all with your EA/ED decissions! Hopefully i won’t start 2015 crying lol

Anyone has any ideas on when decision date will be? From reading the posts, I am sense the general opinion is the Thursday before Christmas break.

Been following this thread for a while now but haven’t posted. I am EA 2015.

So nervous!! I applied EA for Journalism. Hoping I don’t have to wait until the 31st.

Does anyone know how competitive media studies is? I have a 3.62, 28ACT, honors, top 25% of my class, 2 student Emmys, 3APs, and 2 college classes. I’m so nervous. I applied EA

Is anyone doing behavioural neuroscience?

I am! Do any of you know what the earliest date is that we would hear back?

@Andycoyote23 - I applied as that major.

does anyone know how competitive the PT program is? i’ve been searching everywhere and there’s hardly any information about it.

PT is one of the most competitive programs at NEU
