<p>I've always known Rutgers to be a Rolling admissions school. What is Early Action about?</p>
<p>They’re pretty much still doing Rolling, it’s just that if you apply before the EA date then they guarantee you a decision before a certain date. You could conceivably apply after the EA date and still receive a decision rather quickly, they’re just trying to encourage people to apply early so they aren’t stuck with tens of thousands of applications near the end of the application period.</p>

<p>There is a deadline for scholarship consideration, but to my knowledge it isn’t the same as the EA deadline.</p>
<p>Dec. 1st is the scholarship deadline (to be automatically considered for them, at least)</p>
