Early Action

I am almost done with my Early Action application for Tulane and I will probably turn in my application today. When should I expect to hear back if I do submit my application today?

@zacharyiscool25 - there will be ~2 dates in which EA admission decisions will be released. Jeff Schiffman will be posting a blog that will notify applicants on when these release dates will be. This will make it so you only have to check your portal 1-2 times, instead of every day. You will know when the decisions will be released once Jeff makes these dates public.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you so much. That helps a lot.

Also @nostalgicNOLA when do you think Jeff Schiffman will post these dates on his blog?

@zacharyiscool25, I would guess sometime at the end of November. I will let you know if I find out more information.

Thanks.

I spoke with someone in admissions and was given the following information:

ED1 decision letters will be mailed out on November 27 and those decisions will be made available on the applicant’s portal on November 30. Good luck to everyone!

@nostalgicNOLA any info on EA? Thanks…

@eskafu - the only information I was able to get for EA notifications is that EA applicants will hear back mid/late December. I am doing my best to get specific dates but have not had much luck, apologies!

@eskafu, ask and you will receive! Most of the EA decisions will be mailed out on December 17 and will be available on the applicant’s portal on December 20. Hope this helps!

@nostalgicNOLA THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

You seem to have a lot of knowledge. My son is so nervous if he is going to get in EA. Should he write to Corrine and let her know how much he wants to go? To jeff?

@chappmom5 - sorry for the delay in my response. There is no harm in having your S send a letter to his admission counselor, especially if this will allow him to feel a little less nervous. While sending a letter saying he is interested may not have any effect on his decision (at this point), there is no downside to doing this If he does choose to write it, he should write to his admission counselor that is assigned to him.

Let me know if you have any additional questions - always happy to help!

Your son can write to his admission counselor. It would be best if there is some additional information that he wants to make them aware of, i.e… new award or honor, updated grades or scores!

Super helpful. We sent a link to his portfolio and a note that we wer an alumni that we didn’t realize. Super helpful advice!
