Early Action

I know Early Action is nonbinding. I know for most schools that use Early Action, anyone can apply to multiple other schools. But for schools like Yale, which uses Single-choice early action, can people still apply early action/decision to other schools?

Yale and Stanford prohibit you from applying EA or ED elsewhere if you apply to one them EA.

No. Hence the “single-choice” part

yup, you might have seen people using the acronym SCEA around these boards. It stands for Single Choice Early Action. Single choice meaning that you are only applying to one school early action.

On a related note, some big state schools have a “priority filing period”, but this is not the same as SCEA. You can apply to one SCEA program and as many priority filing periods as you please.

i think you can still apply EA to state schools
