Hi, I am an international applicant. I noticed Vanderbilt offers the ED 2 option. If I select the ED 2 option and get accepted into Vanderbilt, is it possible to reject the admissions offer with legitimate reasons (i.e. did not get a scholarship) without consequences?
Yes, you would be able to decline if you can’t afford to attend. That would be the only reason you could use to get out of your commitment to matriculate.
Well…sort of. You’d be able to decline if your financial situation changed from when you applied. If you apply, and fill out all of the aid forms correctly, you will have a very strong understanding of your cost to attend. If you are accepted and Vandy offer you the aid you anticipated, you can’t pull out.
Thank you for your replies! @Groundwork2022 @NJmomsoongrad
