I’m not applying to many. I actually am not in love the progressive, liberal arts college identity. I love Reed though. I’ll apply to L&C, because I think it’d make it easier to transfer into Reed from there.
The other schools I’m applying to are pretty quirky. Warren Wilson is my second choice, and a very close second choice. I also like Sterling in Vermont.
If I don’t get into Reed, I’ll probably only apply to WW and L&C. I feel like I’ll definitely get into both of them.

I wish Reed has an admission Facebook page/blog. This waiting game makes me feel like I could be crushed at any moment. At least let me know when so I can prepare myself mentally, and not die of a heart attack every time I get a new email.

You can get ready for heart attacks starting Monday. This waiting is killing me. These last days I’ve been trying to distract myself from thinking about Reed and what do I find doing zapping? A freaking movie that takes place in Reed! Universe is cruel!

ow, what movie is it? I never get tired of anything that involves Reed’s campus. So gorgeous.

Is it Blue Like Jazz? A friend of mine blanched when I told her Reed was my top choice because she had seen that movie. “Why do you want to go the literal craziest college campus ever?”

Hey so the checklist on the portal is gone and it says decisions will be mailed out Monday. Are they doing email or snail mail? On the campus they said that the acceptance letter was a video so I thought it would be digital.

Weird, my checklist is still there, except that they updated it with details about each item.

This is all I’m getting http://i.imgur.com/610JY8o.jpg

@codexsplanade Yeah, it was Blue Like Jazz. I just fell more in love with Reed. I also got something like that from my counselor who watched the movie, “That campus is kind of freaky…Good choice though!”
My checklist is still there, but with more details about every item.

My checklist is gone, too. What do you guys mean by more details?

It just says “Your Application is Complete” and “Decisions will be mailed out December 15th”

That’s what I got too, @lganser.

Do you know how they’re sending out decisions? Like, digital or what? @codexsplanade

I hear decisions come through email.

Okay. That’s what I thought. Thanks

Like they added the name of each recommender, my school name… Before there was no detail like that. But well, maybe they’re still updating the status of some applications I’m sure I’ll get what you guys got soon.

In my case under the “Teacher Recommendation” item, now I can see the name of the teacher and some other things. But there aren’t major changes besides those small details.

@lganser My understanding is that you will receive an email on the 15th with their decision, as well as a letter in the mail (postmarked by the 15th, and thus received some time next week), regardless of their decision.

Barely four days left. I think waiting is actually worse than it would feel to be told no. I’ll let you guys know if I was right about that on Monday.

My checklist is also complete. I desperately want to know already.

I’m on the same boat. I hate the wait. What’s everybody’s preferred major? Mine’s math-physics.
