Early Decision apps to Northwestern Class of 2017 reach all-time high

Ah, I just wondered, since you seem to know a lot. Did you ever see the stone that says On this place in 1897 (not sure if that’s the right date) nothing happened? That may be the first thing I go see when I look at their campus, haha.

S showed me too many stones and landmarks in and around NU, so I am not exactly certain about the one you are referring to!

@nugraddad, may be I will run into you one of these days! Is your S in ISP too? Mine is. S got in RD.

It literally says that nothing happened there on it, haha. It’s across from a small building named after a woman, but I can’t remember what it was called.

Time to ask my S then!

That stone is right by Kresge Hall (near the Rock). “At this location in 1897, nothing happened” or something of the sort.

It’s across from Annie May Swift! (The building is kind of peanut butter-colored.)

NorthwesternDad - No, my son is a ChemE. If your S is big in IM sports they probably would recognize each other.

But - speaking of wierd - My son found a “floating door” in tech… He showed us at Parent’s weekend. It’s a door about 6 feet off of the floor. Very strange.

Annie May Swift! That’s what it was! I knew it was a small building named after a woman, haha. I find that the most entertaining tradition, even more so than the rock. If you can call it a tradition…

Got to see the rock!

@nugraddad,
S is into IM; plays for CCI. Is doing EE.

NU Dad - I PM’d you - I hate to get too specific in the open forum.

Agreed nugraddad. Got your msg and PM’d you back!

I still don’t know how you only have 99 posts NUDad, I feel like I’ve gotten at least 500 posts worth of info from you, haha.

And many of my posts have occurred only in the last couple of months or so
Well…there goes my 100th post!

Congratulations! Haha, and I’m going to hit 400 soon. Maybe I should leave for school though. Probably not the best idea to be late :-D

Your post counting is cute.

Haha, don’t worry, I’ll celebrate when you hit 3,500 :-D

Yikes. I have twins - one applied ED to Brown the other to NU. They didn’t really think much about dorm living in their choices --
