Early Decision Deferral Advice - Anyone been through this before?

My D was an ED candidate and was deferred to RD.

She has a 90 GPA with a 1620 SAT, decent recommendations but her extra-curricular’s are probably sub-par. She is hispanic from a suburban out-of-state public school. From speaking with admissions, it seems that they are most concerned about her math preparation. She is one year behind the pre-calculus track at her public high school. She has decided to take precalculus at a local community college and has informed admissions to this effect.

She has several other acceptances to fall back on, but has her heart set on Bentley.

Anyone have any advice on how to handle this?

<< bump >>

So sorry to hear that your daughter was deferred. I really want to go to Bentley too; I applied EA. I wish for the best for her.

What does "bump" mean?

nightfly, I was sorry to see that your daughter was deferred. Maybe, promising to take a math course in summer school will help? I don't know.

Good luck to your daughter. I hope she gets into the school.
