<p>Does Macalester College allow students admitted by early decision to take deferred admission / gap year? My son wants to do a gap year? Another school he was considering absolutely does not allow deferred admission to its early decision acceptees, which was at the time a big surprise. </p>
<p>They do - my nephew just took a gap year before starting this fall.</p>
