Early Decision II 2014

Hey everyone! I saw that there was no ED II discussion so I thought I would make one. :) Has anyone gotten their decision yet? I know that Feb. 15th is the day we find out, but for ED I people started getting phone calls of acceptance a little bit before the scheduled day. Good luck to you all!

Also applied ED II haven’t heard of anyone that found out. Does anyone know what they usually notify by as in phone, email, mail ? Good luck

We were notified by phone for ED1 this year. The mail notification came later.

Just got my call of acceptance!!! I’m in Northern NJ and my admissions counselor said that my letter and financial aid information should be mailed by Tuesday. I’m very happy and kind of shocked that I got in as my stats were pretty low (1730 SAT, 3.4 GPA), but I had great recs, a pretty good essay, and my interview went very well so I guess those really helped me! I’m also a girl, so I supposed that played a role haha.

Congratulation vball. Let us know what kind of merit you get offered.

I’m still waiting. :-S

@AfghanPhenom don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll hear back soon! Good luck!!

@rualum I got my package in the mail today and was offered the Edwin A. Stevens Scholarship worth around $10,500 and a federal loan of around 5,000 a year. This is honestly a lot more than I was expecting, so my parents and I are very happy! :)

I got my acceptance call yesterday too but the package hasn’t arrived yet and won’t arrive until Tuesday because Monday is off.

Should I just call them? I’m not the patient type. It’s killing me inside.

I am on vacation so I won’t be home until next week. Is there any way to find out if I got accepted?

ED2 decisions were supposed to go out by Feb 15th.

Stevenskid if you aren’t home they should have left a message on your voicemail. You can always call your admissions counselor on Monday.

vball thanks, that’s good to know.

Afghan you can call or email your admissions counselor.

I’m still waiting and I’m really nervous about it because it said on the website that we would know by the 15th. I took it as I would be finding out by the 15th not after. :-S

I won’t be home until late Wednesday, so if I call my admissions counselor and asked them if I got accepted would they get annoyed? And it seems as if many people were notified on the 14th, but nobody on the 15th.

I don’t know, that’s why I didn’t call. Anyways, still waiting, so is my friend. Maybe the snow had something to do with it? I tried calling them today but they wouldn’t answer.

By the way, aren’t they closed on Monday because it’s Presidents’ Day?

I’m pretty sure that they will be closed tomorrow for the holiday. And depending on where you live, the snow could have affected the mail system in your area. I was expecting to get my package on Tuesday but surprisingly it came yesterday. I live about 30 minutes from Hoboken and the snow around here has been pretty bad lately, but I still got my mail delivered yesterday. I’m sure you’ll all find out soon! Good luck! :)

Yes, tomorrow will be closed for President’s Day. https://www.stevens.edu/sit/sites/default/files/2013-2020%20Academic%20Calendar_Final_March2012%20.pdf

Snow may have had something to do with it. They may not have had a full staff. Friday was a delayed opening.

Well, looks like I have to wait till Tuesday. Should I just email them?

Does anyone know if they call first or if you get the admissions decision in the mail first?
