Yes, I read that too. I was just wondering if the decisions start coming in and are in “by” December15th or if they are all released “on” December 15th. I know the admissions office is working incredible hours this time of year, but was just hoping for a response by 12/15 and thought it possible because we have heard from EA schools which had the same deadline and are much larger schools. Basically, just anxious for my son who is clear that Stevens us where he wants to go.

By the way, other schools have sent him congratulatory e-mails? Is this the norm? Will he be informed of the Stevens decision via e-mail or should he be checking the mailbox? I recall the old anxiety about thick and thin envelopes…

Do you think it is possible that an email would come on Sunday? I never thought of that. I just figured we would hear the beginning of next week.

Also waiting to hear soon!
A while ago my son received an email that said that they had received his application and to be on the lookout for an email with login instructions to check his application status online. So far he has not received this email…has anyone else?

Got a phone call today from an admissions counselor informing me of my acceptance to Stevens Institute of Technology, class of 2018 ! She explained that there was a technical error with the mailing system and said that I wouldn’t receive my acceptance package until the middle of next week. Good luck to everyone!

I asked the caller a few questions. She said that they had 50% more ED1 applications this year than last year. She also said that they had to turn away a lot of very strong candidates last year during the regular decision round.

Other info: top 10% of applicants offered Stevens Scholars (if you do not get in, you can apply for Scholars after your first semester if you get a 3.8 or greater GPA.)

I do not have the cell phone that they called me on earlier today. Although I was able to listen to the voice mail my counselor left, saying to call back at his number regrading the status of my application. I work 3 pm-9 pm on Sat, so I told him that if he called before 2pm that would be great. I work two jobs on Sunday so I have no down time at home (aka where my house phone is to receive a call). Monday I have a Board Meeting for the Youth Trustees at my local Science Center, and will not be home until around 6:30 pm. Tuesday I am attending a Town Hall meeting for my Government project. I really hope I will be able to communicate with him soon! I am so nervous .-. If anything I can ask to call during school, as in lunch or any free period. Should I email him at some point?
