Bwog Early Decision Stats: Lots of People Want to Go to Columbia

Columbia received a total of 3,229 Early Decision applications this year (final after adjustments)

* 632 students, or 19.57% of the ED pool, were admitted
* 696 students, or 21.55% of the ED pool, were deferred to the Regular Decision pool
* ED applications increased 8% from the previous years total of 2,983

Do you know what this means for the deferred applicants? Will we have a better shot because we were weeded out from the rest of the EDers or is it still a long shot since we were not accepted the first time around?

@admissiongeek: hey um do you think you can get data on the separate colleges (percentage accepted to CC and percentage accepted to SEAS)? Thanks!

@Tortugaverde: I think the burden is on you once you’ve been deferred to get accepted RD

admissionsgeek, pwoods already posted this.
