Early Decision

How much of an advantage is it to apply for the early decision?

a pretty big advantage. if you are borderline in reg decision, you would probably get in early. they want kids who want to be there

I think about 30% of Early Decision kids are admitted, vs. 12% Regular, yielding 17.7% overall for class of 2010. Something like that. I saw it announced somewhere on the net.

for wharton, didn't they recently change the early decision date to november? do a lot of people choose the early decision route?

Early decision date was always November. And yes, a lot of people choose the ED route. In fact, a good portion of the class is accepted through ED

Specifically, does anybody know what the admission rate for Wharton is? (assuming early decision)

Overall they admitted 475 out of almost 5200 kids, according to my letter - but it doesn't say which were ED and which were RD.
