<p>I completely and utterly disagree that Wellesley is better academically than Smith or Barnard. All three schools offer stellar experiences, both social and academic, and are very similar in admissions selectivity (usually if a person applies to one, they apply to them all). Some departments at Wellesley may be "stronger" than similar departments at the other colleges, but one could also say that some departments at Smith are "stronger" than those at Wellesley. The main difference is in terms of location - Smith is located in quirky and eccentric (and cool!) Northampton, Barnard in New York City, and Wellesley in an upscale Boston suburb. Many people prefer the location of one over the other. Wellesley may be better in the field you are studying (to you), but to say that Wellesley is superior academically to Smith and Barnard is just false.</p>
