I'm with you on that, TKM. If I have the Gods-given (meaning Wellesley admissions officers) privilege of being accepted to Wellesley, I WILL participate in the process of admissions. Tis good to be kind to 2007's prospective Wellesley students. Anyways, I'm actually suprised that they don't post likely, possible, and unlikely decisions online. Why waste the postage and paper to mail those decisions...? Is it tradition?

i will too...the wait is really unbearable.

i suspect wellesley feels the anticipation of opening that envelope is part of the experience.

Yeah... it certainly would save a lot of trees if they just did it online. But even though the wait seems interminable, I'm really glad Wellesley does likely letters at this point... I don't know how I'd be able to handle the suspense of three months without word from anyone.

Does the mail come on President's Day? Ahhhh...

i dont think it does. looks like everyones going to have to wait until tomorrow...

So when you get "possible", is there anything you can do about it?

Possibles have a 25% chance of getting in regular decision. I guess what I would do is send in additional writing samples...and maybe another Why Wellesley essay...only more emphatic!

i heard that possible chances are closer to 1/6...i have no idea what i'm going to do if that happens to me :(

me neither...it's almost worse than just an unlikely. well...almost.

Be optimistic, girls! We may get our letters today...ahhhh.

Keep your hopes up! Possibles DO get admitted. Send in extra letters of recommendations, write a letter saying how much you want to go to Wellesley, be persistent, because Wellesley likes that. It does happen, I know several people in my grade who were possibles and ended up getting in.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! How did that person get an unlikely letter?!?!?! I AM SCREWED, FOR SURE!

Whole--

Sorry about the unlikely, it must hurt. Your scores and ECs and such look pretty strong, though, so I am sure you will get into some other great schools. Does anyone know if sending in more materials helps after receiving an unlikely?

On another note, I wonder if most of the letters will be delivered today. My D applied ee as well, but we are in California. She is away for a couple days (visiting two other colleges), but gave me the o.k. to open her letter if it comes.

unlikely.
