Early GRE taking

Hello,

I've seen that they've recently cut the price for a couple months in half, for taking the GRE. I was planning on taking it to see how I did while it's cheap; and to build on that. I'm a dual major in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and taking with it all the undergraduate math courses, up to Advanced Calculus 2, with that I've looked at the math portion and it looks easy, so I just to work on the Verbal reasoning part. I've looked up on their website and it suggest to take the GRE twice, once to see where you stand and the 2nd as you're real test. I was wondering if that was a good idea to do that?

Thanks,

Why don’t you just take a practice test instead of wasting $80?

Yeah I thought about it, but with the new style of GRE coming out for half off in aug-sept, it seemed like an idea to get a feel for the new test style… I wasn’t too sure on how many guides/practice test would be built for that yet.

mm okay gotcha. I would just consider it since your GRE score’s valid for like 5 years, and you don’t always know if schools will look at all of your scores or just the most recent one. Just my two cents.
