I was wondering if you could help me decide whether I should go early or regular to Stanford.
I'm ranked in the top 10 in my class.
Unweighted around 3.8. Weighted around 4.25.
All my classes this year are AP except 1 honors and I've taken the most challenging classes since freshman year.
SATs of 2200 first time and waiting on second scores
300+ hours of community service
leadership positions in 4 organizations/sports
Letterman + many awards in 2 sports.
My thought is that if I go regular, I will be applying with a higher GPA and probably higher test scores. The past few years, Stanford has only accepted 1 person from my school who has been ranked #1. This year, however, I know for a fact that the person ranked 1 won't be applying so that puts me in a dilemma. Is it worth the risk of getting rejected early when I can apply regular with a higher GPA? What should I do?

in my personal opinion, it seems that if your stats won't improve DRAMATICALLY (a 100 point SAT increase isn't significant IN MY OPINION), you should just apply early.

I'm friends with one of the undergrad officers (Financial Aid) at Stanford, and he clearly stated that SCEA would boost your chances. Go for it.
